This month, Bright Ocean Marketing turns three, and we're excited to celebrate how far we’ve come.

An Ocean Startup Project
Bright Ocean got its start through the Ocean Startup Project in 2023, an accelerator that enables founders to build businesses across the blue economy. Bright Ocean began as an app that connects Ocean Conservation groups with influencers who are able to promote the work they’re doing. The market research uncovered a core issue with bringing the app to market: many ocean-focused organizations had strong missions but no in-house marketing strategy to match.
That insight sparked a pivot — Instead of furthering the development of the app, Bright Ocean became a full marketing services company built specifically for ocean-conscious ventures.
Three Years and 30 Clients
Three years later, we have grown into a thriving agency with real impact behind it: roughly 30 ventures and brands supported, and over 100 partnerships enabled.

None of that happens without a team, and we're endlessly grateful for ours — from Robin Shelley's account leadership, to Madison Stapley's ongoing marketing support, to the students who've pitched in behind the scenes: Lauryn, Gajalini, Melanie, Prithika, and Tammana. Each of them has helped move this work forward, and we're deeply proud of what the team has built together.
We are also deeply grateful to all the clients we’ve worked with over the last three years. Each client has brought a deeper understanding of the ocean space and brought valuable experience to our team.
Our Services
Bright Ocean now offers a broad range of marketing services — from Shopify store builds to trade show representation, prospecting, social media management, email marketing, and event support. Looking Ahead
Looking ahead, we're in the early research phase of a new eco-tourism initiative, Bright Ocean Tourism, aimed at connecting resorts and nonprofits working in ocean conservation.
